Revolution - Jennifer Donnelly

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly takes place in modern Paris and revolutionary Paris. I am a huge fan of Ms. Donnelly's ever since her fantastic YA novel A Northern Light, based upon the same murder that inspired Theodore Dreiser to write An American Tragedy. Her Rose historical trilogy - for adults - is rather fabulous as well.

Of them, though, I think that Revolution is my favorite. A double narrative, bound together by music and two young women, Revolution one of the best books I read in 2011.
