Daughter of the Forest - Juliet Marillier This retelling of the Grimm's fairy tale the Six Swans is simply outstanding. I stumbled on Juliet Marillier doing some searches on Amazon, and I simply do not understand why she has not achieved the vast popular success that she deserves. Her books are all outstanding, and Daughter of the Forest is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch. The rest of the Sevenwaters series are good as well, but none of them are quite so good as this one.
