Entwined - Heather Dixon An excellent retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princesses, with one of the most gorgeous covers I've ever seen. This is the third retelling of what is my favorite fairy tale that I've read, and may have overtaken Wildwood Dancing as my favorite, although they have all been wonderful. It is interesting that the author chose to name her twelve princesses after flowers, as did Jessica Day George in her retelling. This one focuses primarily on the oldest princess, Azalea, although the two next in line, Bramble and Clover, each have prominent roles as well. The villain is a deliciously spiderlike and appalling character.

Reread in 2013. Just as good the second time around.
