The Battle for Skandia - John Flanagan Installment 4 was an improvement over Book 3, which was disappointing. The gang reassembles in Skandia, and then - ultimately - returns to Araluen having forged a tentative alliance with the raiders from the north.

Both Nick and I are very much enjoying this series. I really like Flanagan's treatment of Evanlyn/Princess Cassandra. I'm sure we will see more of her, but he created a brave, resourceful and independent female character who is a nice counterbalance to Will and Horace. They are quite a trio and I am sorry to see them breaking up at the end of book 4.
