Are there really people like this in the world? Because I may be from a small town, but frankly, there wasn't a single character in this book who wasn't a self-absorbed, materialistic, pain in the ass. It's a fantastic read, very involving, but they all suck. Except the detective. He actually seemed pretty nice.
