I am a project reader. I have started a post about my ongoing reading projects, which will, I am sure, get posted sooner or later.

But right now, I want to talk about one of my look-ahead projects for 2014: The Bronte Project.

I am going to read all of the Bronte sister's major works:

Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte

Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

Villette by Charlotte Bronte

Shirley by Charlotte Bronte

The Professor by Charlotte Bronte

Emma (fragmentary) by Charlotte Bronte

As well as at least two biographies:

The Life of Charlotte Bronte by Elizabeth Gaskell

The Brontes: Wild Genius on the Moors by Juliet Barker

With supplementary material from:

The Oxford Companion to the Brontes by Christine Alexander and Margaret Smith

And (maybe) some of the juvenalia, which is available for free on my kindle.

Of those, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights are rereads. The rest are new to me. And I can't freaking wait! Can it be 2014 already? Please?
