I finally watched this thing with my daughter. I knew it was going to be bad pretty close to the beginning, when Poirot was diminished to a joke of a man who had been reduced to running murder parties for rich people.

But, Jesus Fucking H. Christ on a Popsicle Stick, people, I had no idea how terrible it was going to get. I really think that this is the WORST adaptation I have ever seen. Ordeal by Innocence was bad, but this is an actual abomination. What Sarah Phelps did to Poirot should be illegal. I think that Agatha Christie would actually physically assault her if she were still alive.

That so-called twist at the end with Poirot as a Catholic priest? I literally sat on my couch and just repeated "oh, no. No, no, no, no, no. No. Oh my god, No." I mean, I guess it could have been worse - she could have made him a fucking Nazi, but seriously.

(show spoiler)

That was not Poirot.
