Moonlight Reader

Lawyer, mother, avid reader. Game host extraordinaire! Partner in crime to Obsidian Black Plague! My bookish weaknesses include classics, fantasy, YA, and agreeing to read more books than is even remotely possible.

Currently reading

Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Collection
Arthur Conan Doyle, Stephen Fry

Reading progress update: I've read 50 out of 284 pages.

Curtain: Poirot's Last Case - Agatha Christie

I am chuckling over the references to old cases - Murder on the Links, the A.B.C. Murders. Right now I am most reminded of And Then There Were None, for some reason.

I agree with OB - Judith is pretty awful.

“That’s wicked—wicked. An abuse of power. It shouldn’t be allowed. Old people, sick people, they shouldn’t have the power to hold up the lives of the young and strong. To keep them tied down, fretting, wasting their power and energy that could be used—that’s needed. It’s just selfishness.”

“The old,” I said drily, “have not got a monopoly of that quality."
