Hans Christian Anderson fairy tales

The Annotated Hans Christian Andersen - Hans Christian Andersen, Maria Tatar

So, I'm going to plunge into the world of the MOOC - with FutureLearn's course on Hans Christian Anderson, scheduled to begin on 10/19/15.

Link to course: here

I already own this gorgeous hard-cover compilation of stories. The course will cover the following tales:

  • The Tinderbox
  • The Travelling Companion
  • The Little Mermaid
  • The Snow Queen (the inspiration for Disney’s Frozen)
  • The Story of a Mother
  • The Red Shoes

I am not nearly as familiar with these fairy tales as I am with the Grimm's tales, so I'm really looking forward to diving in!

And, just for fun, an illustration of The Snow Queen by Edmund Dulac:

Have any of you done a MOOC? How was your experience?
