Shadow of the Night is a whirlwind tour through the Elizabethan period. So far, we've been in England (met Queen Elizabeth, John Dee, Christopher Marlowe, & Will Shakespeare), France, and are now in Prague. Little is happening, in spite of all of the travelling hither and yon and Diana still can't control her magic. She's the least competent witch ever.
Matthew is still Mr. Protective-Vampire-Pants, but now he is wearing hose and a doublet. I will probably go on to the third book just to finish the series. I enjoy the history, but wish that we could get some forward movement on the plot. ASAP, please.
