Moonlight Reader

Lawyer, mother, avid reader. Game host extraordinaire! Partner in crime to Obsidian Black Plague! My bookish weaknesses include classics, fantasy, YA, and agreeing to read more books than is even remotely possible.

Currently reading

Capital Crimes: London Mysteries: A British Library Crime Classic (British Library Crime Classics)
Martin Edwards
Progress: 105/410 pages
Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Collection
Arthur Conan Doyle, Stephen Fry

Reading progress update: I've read 156 out of 480 pages.

Far from the Madding Crowd - Thomas Hardy, Shannon Russell, Rosemarie Morgan

I am not quite to the halfway point of the book.

Is Bathsheba the original incarnation of the Mary Sue? I mean this only slightly jokingly, since she seems to be perfection herself. All the men are in love with her. Her skin is luminous, her hair is bouncy, glossy and luxurious. Her face is as perfect as the summer dawn, her figure nearly as pleasing as her bank account.
