Lawyer, mother, avid reader. Game host extraordinaire! Partner in crime to Obsidian Black Plague! My bookish weaknesses include classics, fantasy, YA, and agreeing to read more books than is even remotely possible.
I haven't quite finished this, although I don't expect my rating to change.
This book is way more PNR than epic, with not one, but two, insta-loves in a love triangle with the main dragon. There is way too much teen angst and not nearly enough firebreathing.
It is well written - as I would expect from Julie Kagawa. But it is not the book that I wanted to read, and I was mostly bored. I hung on long enough to finish, but I don't think I will be continuing with the series.
The last 15% is awesome. But it isn't enough to save the book for me.
