Dracula - Bram Stoker, Maurice Hindle, Christopher Frayling

I have tried to read Dracula several times, with absolutely no success. I simply could not engage with the narrative. I sometimes have a hard time with epistolary novels, and this was a really good example of why. Each of the voices was drowned in the distance between me and the narration. I was unable to penetrate the story, because I was so befuddled by the way in which it was being told.

And then I found this incredible audible audio version: link. Voiced with a full-cast, suddenly the format of the book makes perfect sense to me. The diary entries, the letters, the reports, are suddenly completely engaging.

I am enjoying this desperately!
